This past November my boyfriend and I went to Banff over November long weekend. It happened to be the one weekend all semester when we didn’t have anything to do, and we didn’t have any exams or assignments due the following week; so we decided to go the mountains!
The original plan was to go skiing as it was the opening weekend for Lake Louise Ski Resort; but due to lack of snow, they pushed back their opening (of course that weekend also happened to be the of a major snow storm, and so the resort could have opened!).
Even though our original plans changed, we didn’t care! We needed a weekend away to relax, with no distractions. Around this time, I was starting to plan my blog, so my boyfriend and I were experimenting with photography and things like that. So we took advantage of this weekend to have some fun taking photos!
We drove down on a Saturday, and spent the evening wondering town (in the freezing cold)! On the Sunday, we spent the day driving to Lake Louise (SCARIEST DRIVING OF MY LIFE!) in the middle of a snowstorm. We explored Lake Louise, warmed up in the chalet, then went back to Banff and headed STRAIGHT to the hot springs! Ahhh so warm!
On the Monday we walked around town. We went on a walk, saw some waterfalls, visited the Banff Springs Hotel, and went out for a nice dinner! The next day we headed home. It was honestly just so nice to get away from everything! I didn’t think about school, work, or my to-do list once! I love spending time with my boyfriend as the most time we have together is when we are studying!
Looking back on these photos makes me miss this weekend so much! This semester we are currently in is so much more hectic then the last, and we have barely had any time to do something fun! I can’t wait for the summer to explore and travel some more with ma boo! 🙂
Here is my photo diary of Banff! ENJOY 🙂
Love, love, love the photos we took! I love Banff, and Canada! My country is the most beautiful country in the world! Have you ever been to Banff?!
