After my time in Athens, my mother and I took a quick plane ride over to the island of Rhodes. Rhodes is amazing! One of my coworkers lived in Rhodes for a while, and told me that I had to go here. We stayed in a cute little hotel in the center of old town and it was amazing. The old town is beautiful, and being able to stay in the center of it was phenomenal! The streets were always alive and full of people.
The lady who owned the hotel was so so so sweet. She made breakfast for us every single day and would stuff us full. My favorite was her Greek yogurt with some sort of toasted bread and honey FROM THE ISLAND! ugh I could eat that all day long.
Some things we did in Rhodes that I LOVED were visiting Anthony Quinn Bay. It is right next to Ladiko Bay. There is a cute restaurant at the top of the hill that sells calamari and mmm mmm oh my it is sooo good! We also went to Tsambika beach. It’s a larger beach without as many rocks. We went here a few times because of this! We got two chairs in a quieter area of the beach and had such a great time relaxing! They had a restaurant where we went and got Greek salad for lunch. There was the cutest little puppy there that I just wanted to pick up and take home!
Another place we visited on the island was the town of Lindos. This was literately hell for us. It was so freaking hot. Apparently, Lindos is like ten degrees hotter than the rest of the island. We went there and were on fire the whole time. I recommend to save this spot of the island for a colder or rainy day. It is practically unbearable!
There are some cute restaurants in the old town of Rhodes, we would spend our evenings walking and people watching. There are tons of places to sit down within the town walls and enjoy the coolness of the evening. Outside the town walls there is the harbor, it was fun walking through and looking where all the boats are from!
Here are some photos from my time in Rhodos! I would love to go back here and enjoy this town again!
I love love love Rhodes, and I highly recommend the place we stayed at, Camelot Hotel Rhodes.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
